Funding opportunities announced

A number of new funding initiatives have been announced over the last few days.  Please have a look at these opportunities if you are interested to join the Faul Research Group as post-doc or short-term visitor:

  • The Royal Society – Royal Society of Chemistry International Exchanges Award:  Thanks to the support of the Royal Society of Chemistry additional grants are available through the Royal Society – Royal Society of Chemistry International Exchanges Award for collaborations between researchers in the UK and those in Sub-Saharan Africa (excluding South Africa) working on projects in the field of Chemistry. University of Bristol Internal Deadline:  27 February 2017
  • Newton Mobility Grants (with the Royal Society and the British Academy): This scheme aims to help strengthen the research and innovation capacity of researchers from partner countries by assisting them in visiting or sending staff and students to the UK and developing networks, research projects and partnerships with their UK hosts/counterparts and the wider UK research and innovation community. University of Bristol Internal Deadline: 6 March 2017 

Partner countries Royal Society: Malaysia, Mexico, South Africa, Thailand and Turkey
Partner countries British Academy: Malaysia, Thailand, Turkey, Vietnam

Post-doctoral fellowships – Newton Fellowships

If you are interested in applying to join the FRG as post-doc, a call for Newton Fellowships has recently opened. These prestigious fellowships provide support for relocating in the first year of the fellowship, full salary and research expenses.

Please read the Scheme Notes carefully to check if you are eligible to apply before contacting Professor Faul with an outline proposal.
