Esther was born in London and spent her childhood moving around south-east Asia, before settling back in the UK in 2009. She moved to Keele in 2011 to study a BSc in Chemistry with Psychology, graduating in 2014. Later that year, she moved to Bristol to undertake an MRes with Prof. Charl Faul, studying polymerisable liquid-crystalline oligo(aniline)s.
After completing her MRes in 2016, Esther was accepted into the Bristol Centre for Functional Nanomaterials as a PhD student. She re-joined the Faul group in May 2017, with an interest in using lipids as a templating mechanism for the self-assembly of electroactive tetra(aniline) amphiphiles.
In her spare time, Esther enjoys baking and, when possible, scuba-diving.
