Zihao Ren (Zack) was born in Shandong, China. He received his Bachelor’s degree in Materials Chemistry at China University of Petroleum(UPC) in Qingdao. In his final year, he completed a research project entitled ‘The design and manufacture of semiconductor thermoelectric generators’ as a CSC exchange student in Gachon University in Seoul, South Korea.

Zack is currently a postgraduate student undertaking a project working on the synthesis of conjugated microporous polymers for CO₂ capture.

In his spare time, he enjoys reading, playing pingpong and basketball.
