Sorrel had just completed the third year of her MSci in Chemistry at the University of Bristol. She undertook an RSC Summer Studentship within the Faul Research Group that was focused on preparing fluorinated conjugated microporous polymers for use in carbon capture and water purification.

In her spare time Sorrel enjoys baking, walking her dog, and spending time with her friends.
