Matt grew up in a small village just outside of Bristol. He received a BSc degree in Astrophysics from Aberystwyth University, wales in the summer of 2016. Later that year he started studying for his MSc degree in Robotics at the University of Bristol and the University of the West of England.

Matt is now working on creating flexible electronics using laser scribed graphene oxide on a silicon substrate material under the supervision of Djen Kuhnel (a CDT student), Prof. Charl Faul and Prof. Jonathan Rossiter.

In his spare time Matt enjoys playing archery and tennis.
