Long Pan was raised in Beijing, China. He acquired his Bachelor degree in chemistry from Sichuan University. After he finished his five-year PhD degree at University of Chinese Academy of Sciences and National Center of Nanoscience and Technology, working on porous organic polymers, Long Pan joined the Faul Research Group in January 2018 as a postdoctoral research fellow. His work will focus on the synthesis of redox-active conjugated microporous polymers and exploration of their applications in gas adsorption, photo catalysis and energy storage. Outside of the lab, he enjoys playing basketball and watching movies.
