Julia completed a Chemistry BSc at the University of Liverpool in 2017. After graduating she was employed as a development scientist by pharmaceuticals company Eli Lilly until 2019. This largely involved process development and formulation of biologically derived pharmaceuticals.
Julia then worked on a personal project converting a VW T4 panel van into a camper van, before heading off on a six-month trip around Europe.
In 2020 Julia is undertaking an MRes in Global Environmental Challenges at the University of Bristol. She is focusing on conjugated microporous polymers for carbon capture and conversion, under the supervision of Prof. Charl Faul.
In her spare time Julia enjoys surfing, camping and reading.
