Ben Baker

Ben received degrees in both History (2007) and Chemistry (2010) from the University of Bristol. After teaching A-level mathematics Ben returned to chemistry to undertake a MRes in supramolecular gelators at the University of Reading. In 2014 he commenced a PhD at the university focusing on self-healing systems for electrical cabling applications. After completing his PhD he moved to Paris to work at ESPCI, focusing on sequential polymers and their applications in drug delivery.

Ben is now working on an industry funded, working on conjugated microporous networks and potential composite formulations under the supervision of Prof. Charl Faul.

In his spare time he enjoys swimming, downhill mountain biking and climbing.
