Mary Donkor

Mary Sintim Donkor is a materials science CoSEM CDT PhD researcher focused on developing sustainable solutions for water treatment. Her work centres on the design and fabrication of cellulose- and polymer-based composite membranes using electrospinning to create hierarchically structured filtration system, aiming to tackling the global challenge of plastic pollution.

Alongside research, Mary is deeply committed to STEM outreach and science communication. Through workshops, talks, and international outreach initiatives, she shares both scientific knowledge and personal journey, encouraging students to pursue opportunities in STEM and to believe in their potential.

She is into fashion, entreprenuership, travelling, movies, and reading.
