Haoqi Yu is from China. He received his bachelor’s degree in Materials Science and Engineering from Northwestern Polytechnical University in Shaanxi. After that, he completed his master’s study at the National Center for Nanoscience and Technology in Beijing, where he obtained dual master’s degrees of Nanoscience and Technology, from the University of Copenhagen (Denmark) and University of Chinese Academy of Sciences.

In March 2026, he joined the Faul Research Group as a PhD student, focusing on biocompatible artificial actuator for assisted living applications. In his leisure time, he likes badminton, hiking and long-distance running.
